In 2014, for the Biennale di Venezia, curated by Rem Koolhaas, the Portuguese representation, curated by Pedro Campos Costa, offered a reflective proposal in the form of a contemporary newspaper about the state of architecture in Portugal. Moving away from pavilions that tend to present collections of projects suitable for any biennale, Pedro Campos Costa created teams from across the country to develop this project.

I was part of the team representing northern Portugal. Among other tasks, our work involved analyzing housing projects, which we photographed and for which we produced technical drawings. We also wrote short articles, self-proposed, on topics of personal concern. I wrote about graffiti policies and the "ilhas" of Porto—traditional housing structures from industrial-era Porto—on which I continued to develop my work in subsequent projects.
