Bio

Joana Maria Coutinho (b. 1989) is a multidisciplinary professional working in the fields of architecture, project management, user experience, and graphic design. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture, a Postgraduate Diploma in Web UX/UI Design, and PRINCE2® 7 certifications at both Foundation and Practitioner levels.

Joana spent more than six years at Slangen+Koenis Architecten, advancing from junior architect to project architect. Her work focused on user-centered designs across landscape, interiors, signage, and wayfinding, notably in projects in Rucphen and Amstelveen. Her contributions are recognized for their sustainability, clarity, and attention to detail. She is praised for her creativity, reliability, and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

At Habitar Porto, Joana demonstrated her versatility by contributing to affordable housing designs and developing the program’s graphic identity, enhancing its communication and growth.

Whether managing projects, refining design elements, or collaborating with teams, she consistently delivers high-quality results.
